Companion / Homemaker
Whether it is a loss of mobility, a decline in health due to Alzheimer’s or dementia, or maybe just other challenges in general, companionship is often an excellent start to getting help with keeping our loved ones in their homes and as independent as possible. Our South Jersey companion care program provides healthy interactions including activities that promote physical and cognitive health.
While they do not provide hands on care, it is a great way for you or your loved one to get assistance with certain tasks, in and out of the home. Imagine a friend stopping by to check up on things a few times a week. Making sure things are tidy, guidance with bill pay, cooking, helping with errands such as grocery shopping, and transportation to places like doctors’ appointments, etc. This is exactly what having a companion with our NJ home health care agency will be like! More than just cooking or cleaning, they are there to engage in conversation, take interest in your likes, and provide a helping hand and listening ear.
By letting us help, we can make life much more manageable by mitigating any concerns, therefore resulting in a greater quality of life. Our local companions go through background checks, complete required annual CHHA training, and are observed quarterly by our nursing supervisor.
